I have a 02 dodge dakota 3.9 that i just bought with 155000 on her one owner nice and clean the only problem is the oil gauge was reading low and high as I drove it, so i changed the oil and used lucas oil and put a new sending unit in it, Now when iI start it the oil presure is high till it gets warm then it drops to nomal. as i drive it rises and drops as I as the rpms come down any ideas iam I looking at internal

I tried coming up with oil pressure specs for you to no avail....What you are describing sounds okay and perfectly normal, other than the oil pressure needle 'bouncing'. Probably, just the guage. But, to be sure, you can connect a manual guage where the oil pressure sending unit is and take pressure readings hot & cold, @ idle, and @ high rpms just to be sure.
