That could be normal. Temp should stay steady when warmed up and I don't really trust the accuracy that close for the gauge. A clue that you are too hot would be hearing it boil when you turned car off or it the gauge dropped a lot if you blast the heat but not fun at 100 degrees, T

Re: normal operating temp/escort Sign In

205 degree is fine, if anything it is relatively cool in toadies (newer) vehicles. A thermostat with a 195-degree rating only begins to open and allow coolant to flow to the radiator at the 195 degrees. With cooling systems being closed (pressurized) systems the boiling point rises something like 7 degree for every pound of pressure. Engine coolant (anti freeze) also resists boiling which again raises the boiling point and it’s not uncommon to see engine temperatures as high as 230 degree be fore the engine cooling fan will even come on. Which is well below the boiling point of a properly functioning an maintained cooling system.
So it is every important to have the proper mixture of fifty/ fifty anti freeze (engine coolant) and water in the cooling system and a radiator cap with the recommended pressure rating. The average rating you see on rad caps is around 15 pounds.
