Re: no heat Sign In

Hmmm - Questions and ideas:

*Is temp staying steady when warmed up or fluctuate?

*Is cooling system known full?

** Is it accelleration or speed that stops the heat?

If this only quits during accelleration and returns when going level or downhill/decellerating than I would blame a vacuum problem. Many vehicles use manifold vacuum for motor control of devices thru a car and upon accelleration available vacuum drops off dramatically so it's stored in a container - perhaps out of sight with a one way check valve.

If that sounds like the timing for the problem than check for vacuum leaks in hose at intake manifold and follow them along to see their integrity. There may be a vacuum operated valve on inlet heater hose relying on vacuum to maintain warm/hot water(coolant) flow thru heater core.

Note: vacuum lines may start at a rubber elbow and go into wiring looking harnesses as a hard plastic. If either is found broken rubber hose can patch the area and new single/universal elbows should be available. Check and hit back if you find something like that if you have trouble patching it,
