no fuel supply Sign In

a 1996 toyota landcruiser is not supplying fuel from tank after rewiring and engine rebuild. I had to put an electrical fuel fascet in series with the fuel supply pipe from tank. The vehicle starts well now. My worry is on what caused this lack of fuel supply and how it can be solved

I don't know what kind of Frankenstein you have there now but we can tell much from here.

What is an electrical fuel fascet?

The only way your going to know what is causing your problem is to test the pump and it's circuit when the problem is occurring.

Good grief DS! An electrical fuel fascet is just like a water faucet except it pumps fuel>>>>>>>>>>>> Didn't they teach you that? Just kidding, there is such a thing.......

Yup - I have that gadget hooked up to filter and hose to empty tanks or transfer fuel wired for a power port the jumper packs have or vehicle.

"Facet is no doubt a brand name??"

Still LMAO - T

So basically if your fuel pump doesn't work in the fuel tank, you run down to Home Depot and get you a Facet?

Re: no fuel supply Sign In

Kidding aside this being a '96 just needs to find why OE fuel isn't pumping. Frankenmessed wiring will be a real treat. A separate fuel pump like that isn't an answer or worth it for testing. Pressure if pump works then volume and so on like anything else. No fake jobs. I don't do much or many Benzos but some did put an external electric fuel pump at the tanks now like everything ages ago,
