need help with muffler

i am getting a 2003 dodge neon se 2.0liter 4 cylinder and i am looking for a muffler. i see that there are different iinlet sizes, why is that? wouldnt the inlet sizes all be the same for the same model car? and if you know what size inlet this car needs, please let me know, thanks

well are you looking at OEM replacement parts like Walker brand.......or universal aftermarket performance mufflers?
if its the OEM replacement parts, different intet sizes would probably represent different engine options.
your local parts guy would be your best bet
