need advice on 63' chev impala

for some reason when i get my 63 impala up to about 45+mph the front end starts shaking around real bad. also i just replaced the engine & transmission(350 small block & turbo 350 trans, both new) and for some reason it doesnt seem to have enough "go", any thing after around 55mph and it seems stressed out. if anyone can lend some advice it would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
