my gmc suburban 94 won't start with new battery and starter	Sign In

My old starter was going bad, so I decided to change it. I installed the new one and it made a click noise twice as I turned the ignition, just like the old one was doing when not cranking, and then nothing, not even a "click". I changed the battery and nothing changed
I went back to exchange the new starter and this time tried to test it first. I connected it to 2 different batteries, with jumper cables, but the starter didn't do anything. I then tried to put it in, but still nothing.
What is wrong?
Someone told me it could be a bad ground (I cleaned all the connectors). I checked all the fuses too.
Is there a such a thing as a starter relay?
Could anything else be bad?

Arggggggggggggggggg! hELP

If you tested this out of the vehicle and did it properly why did you put it in? The body of the motor must be connected to ground to test out of the vehicle or it wouldn't do anything,

The fact that it clicks indicates there is power going to it, when the clicking stops either your plunger in the solenoid has died OR the weak power supply finally gave out. You say you cleaned your terminals, check the actual connector to the solenoid. Make sure connection is screwed on tightly and your earth wire is exactly that..EARTHED. Then let me know.
