Last week my battery light started coming on. I know that means to go get a new battery. And now my engine revs when it is in neutral or i am stopping. Does that mean my clutch is going out? or is it a transmission problem? i don't really know what to do. Get the battery and alternator checked at an Auto Zone near you. That will tell if either or both need attention. It could be the battery causing all symptoms you have; get it checked and go from there. I say Auto Zone because they can check the systems while in the car.
