The code didn't say the sensor was bad. It said there was a problem with the speed sensor signal. That could have a few causes including a bad wheel bearing, broken tone ring or bad axle. You say the code was for the right front sensor but you are hearing a noise from the left front. The location of the noise can be deceiving so it could be the right side. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Hey it could just as easily be a wiring problem. It's one of those situations that needs some diagnosis and you're really not equipped to do that. A lab scope is what would be used to diagnose that. Do a visual inspection for any wiring damage or any signs of a bad wheel bearing like noise or movement.

"Looks like you're on the right track by replacing the speed sensor. Double-check the wiring and connections, as issues there could cause persistent warning lights."
