Hi my w/s washer bottle is leaking, but i cant see where it is leaking from as there is no room to view it from the top and there is a cover under the car aswel.Do i need to remove the cover under the car to view the bottle or is there a way to check it from the top.I dont have any ramps or anything so would this still be posible.It is slowly leaking from the engine cover just in front of the drivers side front wheel.2003 Peugeot 206 bought in the uk.Thankyou for your time.

Various ways to remove those critters - possibly from below or above. A chance that going thru wheel well will be easiest - takes a good look to see which will be best.

Best fix is a new one of course. They can crack from trauma or sometimes from mounting bolt - who knows?

There are sealants and glues that will fix them if you wish too. By brand two come to mind for something like this....

1. "Permatex" adhesive/sealant - strong, wide heat range and non brittle. Also NOT paintable! Not for use for fuel immersed items.....

2. Another is "Goop" sold in many color tubes but all seem to be the same product. This one dries faster, is paintable, non brittle but high temp limit listed is 160 F. Might not be high enough depending on location and proximity to engine heat....

Either are available at auto parts outlets OR common hardware stores. The "Goop" doesn't need to say "automotive" on package - it's much the same in assorted marketing tubes.

Both of those are handy to have for assorted fixes automotive or home use. The permatex would probably be my choice because of higher heat tolerance.

Thankyou for your reply tom.Had a look at the bottle this afternoon and the bottle is in 2 parts to allow you to detatch the top section when replacing a bulb,it was leaking when the water was filled above the join,so clean both sections up and seems to be ok now.Thanks again.
