lately car shakes and doesn't accelerate @times-HELP!!

I only drive my car ('95 Nissan Sentra) once a week or so. Lately it shakes really badly, esp. at red lights. It also won't accelerate at times which makes me really nervous. Is it not safe to drive or is part of the problem that I'm not driving enough? HELP!

You could just be in need of a tune up. Possible partially clogged fuel filter. Also check for any vacuum leaks. Basic maintenance may cure your problem.
