hi the story is my buddy bought this truck with a knock so we took the head off and found pistion with chunk out of it but rings were still good so we repalaced pistion and rings on that cyclinder also put on different head that was good but when put back together a couple of wire that were never hooked up where there this truck still run the same real smooth on idle and under power not good knock knock loud we think 2.2 is from something newer

i here yah but we have tore down twice it like a knock sensour or computer problem this motor should sing

The knock sensor will not make any noise. It is used to detect a knoch and change the timing to try to reduce the knock. It's primary fi=unction is to keep down detonation. So if you have a loud knocking on acceleration, it could br crank bearings or possibly the thrust bearing allowing the crank to move too fat and causing the flywheel to hit rear of engine.
