Ok so I just replaced the batteries in both of my keyless remotes to my 99 Jetta GLS (new body style) and now neither one are working. Not only that, but the alarm is on and the key will not deactivate the alarm when I unlock the door. This means I can't start the car. Of course the wonderful people at VW told me to drive the car in and they will take a look at it. This is right after I told HER that my car won't start with out deactivating the alarm..... Genius. This is not a towing kind of problem I know. All I did is replace some batteries. And Yes they are in correctly.. The ones I had in there were CR 1620, and that's what the new ones are. The wierd thing is when I put the old batteries back in the remote... they still wouldn't work. Anyone have any ideas???? This is very frustrating and I NEED my car!!!
