honda civic air filter housing replacement Sign In

My son stripped the screws on the airfilter housing on his 2003 civic. The casing underneath the cover is damaged (cracked due to the soft plastic and turning bolts).
What is involved in removing the entire housing, not just the cover? Several bolts are visible in front and on the side.
Does the casing which it slides into need to be removed also? Are there any hidden bolts which secures everything?
Any suggestions would be appreciated

Sorry I personally have not had to remove one and there is no information on that procedure in my service manual. What you could do is get the replacement part and that should show you where all the retainers are.
Again sorry for not being of much help but I can’t see it being all that difficult.
Dan.

A junkyard just might be a good place for this. Good luck,
