in my 1991 300sl mercedes convertable i am having issues with my high beams. when i turn on the high beams the regular driving lights go off. then when i turn the high beams off the lights go back on. as you can see that is a problem. i want the lights andddd the high beams on at the same time. have no idea what the problem is.

They are designed that way so you don't blind the poor guy thats coming at you or that you are driving behind.
