woz driveing my car to day its a citron xzara sx 1.6 y reg and the engin started poping and realy findin it hard to move it to drive wen looked underneath the front of the egsorst waz glowin and smelt like burning i put oil in engin incase woz that but not wots wrong with it help

It's really hard to guess with such limited info but if your exhaust is glowing red, that's not a good sign & shouldn't be driven. If you don't have the means to diagnose & fix this problem then you should take it in before you ruin your car.....

I believe it may be the timing chain/belt has skipped a notch. The same thing happened to my mom's 1973 Gran Torino. The timing chain had skipped 3 notches, it would only run at high RPM and the exhaust was glowing red due to the ignition happening late.
