headliner Sign In

How difficult would it be to install a headliner on a 1988 Oldsmobile 88? The one in my father's car fell down and after attempts to glue it failed, he removed the entire headliner. Not all the glue is removed yet. He is going to give me the car since he doesn't need it with a second better car available.

Also, the truck lock is non-functional. The key broke off and part is still in the lock. He was able to open the trunk a few times while juggling the loose part of the key; but not since\.

Re: headliner Sign In

Headliner: Pretty sure there are some aftermarket choices to make it presentable again if the shell is still ok. Check on what suits you.

Trunk lock: If you get it open again just remove the whole thing or get a locksmith to take out the broken off key and make another. Perhaps try a thin slotted screwdriver to turn it to open one mre time. These used to be available aftermarket and not too hard to replace entire cylinder,

A custom interiors shop can fix your headliner problem - no sweat.

As far as the key broken off in the lock, get a locksmith - no sweat.
