Hello. ive a problem with my 2001 renault clio alize. 1.4 16v. when i turn right sharply, a metallic grinding noise comes from the front passenger side of the vehicle. I investigated the problem; replacing the front brake discs and pads. i also checked the CV joint and ball joints for play, all seemed fine however i cannot seem to pinpoint the cause of the problem. thanks in advance.

Check the hub bearing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Defective new parts happen. If this was instant with brakes and no service to rotors problem could be there as well. Re-check that work and any anti-rattle clips/items that aren't in proper position, T

I'd be looking closely at the left bearing too as you say it does this when cornering hard right. The weight of the car shifts to the left when you do that. A bad bearing would get louder under heavier load.
