Do you have to keep putting fuel in it for it to run great? Or dose it run with no extra gas?

once it is running it will run forever, I have checked fuel filter, fuel pump pressure its all good. I think there must be some type of a statring enrichment device that allows more fuel for starting. No check engine lights are on and the truck runs fine after it starts. I don't want to start replacing parts like the mass air flow or throttle switch if I don't need to. Any help will be great.

I think this is a vortec motor. If it is you likely have a fuel pressure regulator problem. The regulator maintains fuel pressure after the truck is shut off in order to have enough pressure to start. It is located below the upper intake. Hook your pressure tester back up and turn the key on. If the regulator is holding pressure the pressure will not drop. You can also on some trucks look down in the intake and see the fuel leaking or see a clean spot inside the intake from the leaking gas. The regulator is about a $10 part and the gasket is maybe $5. So cheap fix just a bit of work. I have see fuel pump cause similar symptoms, but normally it is the regulator. Good Luck

Hey Jeff, Thanks! Looks like the fuel pressure regulator is around $60.00. I can't find a good photo of the regulator to see where it is. Do I have to remove the intake manifold or can I work around everything to replace it.
