My 2000 blazer 6 4.3 fuel pump has a high hum when the car is runing,run good just pump makes noise. is the pump going bad? will gas treatment help?

Usually fuel pumps have a hum. If you have noticed that it got louder or the pitch seems higher it is an indicator that it is wearing out. I have seen them burn out as early as 35000 miles. You should also change the fuel filter. Most filters get neglected and when they clog up it puts more of a strain on the pump. The filter should be changed every 12000 miles.
