fuel pump Sign In

1996, chev, 350 5.7.

while driving the truck began to surge then finally died will not start. Do not hear the pump when turning on the truck. replaced fuel pump relay, ran a jump between org wire and gray nothing. anysuggestions?

Good chance the fuel pump is out. Try to bang on the tank with a rubber hammer while a helper tries to start the truck. A lot of the time a bad pump will run for a few minutes and then die again using this "diagnostic method"Sly

thanks for the help. Fuel pump is gone, replaced and is running.
