fuel problems 96 lumina

Have a 96 chevy lumina 3.1 liter with lots of miles rebuilt engine. fuel pump went out replaced pump ,sock,and filter car ran for about 250 miles started stalling,then quit. wound not start anymore checked fuel pump, replaced relay checked wiring, replaced fuel pump again, still nothing . I have taken fuel tank down 7 times trying to figure this out , their is no fuel getting to fuel rail and in tank fuel pump is not turning on .any help would be nice .thanks

Is it even getting power? Non OE pumps have had a bad reputation for GMs. Connections have been problems and if run low on fuel they can quickly burn out,

Its a Airtex it says oe supplier on box.Iforgot also replaced sending unit.

it doesn't seem like it is but i've checked the fuses and the wiring with a test light.

Well you have to know if it gets power and ground when it should or what's the point?
Guess: Some of these use a grace period for oil pressure and if not enough detected shut down fuel pump. If you have a warning light only and three wires to sender may look like this.........
I believe that third wire can disable the fuel pump via bad connection or a failure with switch/sender,

Wish I had the software to tell you how to test these things. I don't but know some are involved in fuel delivery. A really good OBDII scan might just bring this out.
Get yourself an LED test light and learn how to use it backwards to test for ground. LED draws so little current to light that if you mess up and hit the wrong wire it's much less apt to cause a problem. No joke and they are decent at $4.96 at Wally World!
GM and fuel bull go hand in hand sometimes. Google out the parts - they sell as many connectors as anybody that go bad too,

Going to get oil pressure switch today see if that works and led test light.thanks for the help will post again soon.

relpace the filter gm had bad filters they clogg easly.
next try back blowing the system from engine back to fule inet to pump not thru the pump just to it
