I can find no fuel filter listed for an 05 Toyota 4 runner. Do they even have one? How is the fuel filtered?

It has to have a filter! It may be too new for some parts stores to list so keep trying or get one at the dealer,

Don't know how accurate it is, but Alldata Pro has the filter in the tank. Warranty pays 1.9 hours to replace. Fuel pump pays 2.0 hours. Here is part number. It is for OEM Fuel Filter 2330050120 $53.07

Great info way2old. Problem is that just really disappointed me to hear that Toyota has in their infinate wisdom decided to make such a move like that.

I can just see telling a customer that replacing a fuel filter is going to cost over $200 bucks!! Hey---- but this is progressMad T

Thanks guys. I guess I'll see what the dealer says. I was just curious, because if you look at the scheduled maintenance on the 4runner, it shows everything down to the cabin filter. But it neve shows changing the fuel filter. I'm not sure what the deal is.

Just spoke with Toyota and the filter is in the tank, but they claim it never needs changing.
