The thing with that is trying to pin-point the cause...if theres is no evidence of fuel leaks and engine performance be effected the only way is keeping up with the required maintenance.....such as airfilters/sparkplugs and driving habits.

Check tire pressure

Check and get rid of extra weigh in the trunk

Also how is your driving? Are you a speed demon? Do you feel like you are in the backseat of the car infront of you?

Coast more to red lights, and maintain a distance of about 5-8 car lenghs between you and car in front, can add a lot to your tank.

Also changing spark plugs, air filters, oil filters are all added pluses but if you are a gas pedal rider the fixes really wont help.
