front sway bar, chevy venture Sign In

I have a 1999 chevy venture with a broken front sway bar. I purchased used one but am not sure of the trouble in replacing it. It looks easy enough but I have been told that there can be some serious trouble if I do this job myslf. Can anyone tell me what to expect, to look out for. Maybe even some basic instructions.

Thanks

THE BAR ITSELF BROKE AND NOT THE PINS AT THE ENDS! Wow! Ok: I'd get new pins and there should be two mounts on frame to secure the bar with rubber isolators inside them. Corrosion is that hard part otherwise this would be straight forward.

What happened that it broke?

Stabilizer Shaft Replacement
  1. removal-Raise and support the vehicle.
  2. Remove the left front tire and wheel.
  3. Remove the left and right stabilizer shaft insulators and brackets .
  4. Remove the left and right stabilizer shaft links.
  5. Remove the stabilizer shaft from the left side of the vehicle.

You need to start a question of your own. This one is a year old.
