A lot of people used to install floor switches like that as "kill" switches for theft deterrents. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

It's to turn the Auto-Dimmer system on /off. There is a sensor that detects oncoming headlights and dim yours automatically if on high beams.
