engine races Sign In
My son has a 1992 Ford Thunderbird 3.8. When you start it up the engine races, the throttel is not sticking. What could be causing this?

IAC - idle air control may be faulty. Try unplugging it to see if idle speed drops. May be faulty, dirty or getting bad info for proper idle speed,
