engine hesitation Sign In

96 honda accord 5 sp 2.2 180k After driving for 30 min when I take my foot off accelerator and then accelerating I get engine hesitation and coughing. Just had full tune up with plugs, wires, filters, etc. but didn't take care of problem - also tried dry gas

Re: engine hesitation Sign In

You should be getting a check engine light? Many sensors and the injectors, themselves, can come and go with engine temp. A diagnostic test should show which cylinder is affected. A faulty TPS can cause a hesitation on tip-in.
