engine control malfunction light on 05 4x4 dodge 2500

We only drive our truck once a week, it has 67,000 miles on it. The other day we went to start it and the batteries were almost dead, so we jump started it. We are pretty sure this was due to it being super cold for the last week and we hadn't plugged it in. Once it started the engine control malfuntion light came on and is not going off. Doea anyone know if this can be caused by a jump start? It is a deisel truck. Thanks
