electric radiator fan

I have a 92 buick lesabre (6 cyl). The electric fans do not operate. Can you tell me where to start looking to find the problem?

A Hayne's manual or some online sites may have test techniques for that. I believe there are relatively simple ways to jump the battery directly to the fan to see if it is the motor or the switch which is the problem. I know in my Cherokee if the coolant temp rises over around 215F or so the fan will kick on. Is your temperature high enough to engage the switch as it is supposed to? If that is not the problem I'd check the motor next.
