If real nasty file it down - hub that is. When nobody is looking beat the snots out of outer edges and back and fourth. You could kill it and need a new drum. Rubber is best for the project but it may take a hand sledge -- this crap is common and stinks! The drums with threaded holes are different and would require a different procedure but I don't think Ford vans went there yet?? 2 cents if that of a smear of grease will stop that problem forever! These are also bad about developing a rust ridge on the outer edge of rim and holds it quite tightly.
