I have a 1990 georgie boy RV that is on an F53 chassis. it has a 460 ford and auto trans/with OD.
I have a front seal leaking on the differential. How would i go about repairing it? Or how should the shop
do it.

If it's the pinion seal it's not too bad to replace. Remove the drive shaft and remove the center nut on the pinion shaft. Pull the shaft out of the differential and pop the seal out with a seal puller, you can buy one at Sears for short money. The seal has a metal outer ring, a rubber inner seal, and a spring around the rubber. Looks like a grease seal for your inner bearing on older brake rotors with repackable bearings. Install the seal with a seal driver or a socket large enough to cover the outer metal. Tap seal until it seats. Install NEW pinion shaft locknut and re-install drive shaft. Top off differential fluid and you're done. Difficulty level of about 2. LOL
