diagnostic connector/ECM Sign In

I purchased a 1999 Chrysler Cirrus. The engine light came on and we took it to AutoZone to read the codes. The OBD II would only give us ERROR. We took it to the emissions and they could not pass the car because they could not get a reading either.
PLEASE HELP!!!!

Re: diagnostic connector/ECM Sign In

Have you checked all fuses with a test light? If fuse is blown the EDCM cna not communicate.

The scanner is not communicating with the computer in your car. The fuse to the cig lighter will keep them from talking to each other. Check that out.
