2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP
3.8L Supercharged
120,000 miles

I was replacing my thermostat and i broke something right above the thermostat housing. there is a small black housing with a plunger arm on the bottom. there are two hoses connected to it. one seems to go into it from a sensor and the other goes to the top of the engine to a valve with other hoses connected to it. i have taken it off and brought it to some auto parts stores but they had no idea what it is. i could replace it but i dont know what its called. please help. other this to describe it is that there is an electrical harness that is secured to it. it only is mounted to the engine by two bolts.

Re: component name Sign In

Is it one of these 2 parts?

They are the boost solenoid and the Boost bypass valve for the supercharger.
