I am the owner of a 2001 Jeep Cherokee with 150,000 miles on it. It is a 4.0 engine. I love my jeep. The problem is that the low collant light comes on from time to time whether or not I am running either my heater or the a/c. When I fill the collant reservior with collant, the light goes off. I have had the vehicle checked and my mechanic tells me everything is fine and if the light comes back on just fill the reservoir with collant.After a few miles, the light is back on.

Could it be that the blower motor is about to die or should I just have the radiator flushed and have new collant put it to see if that solves my problem?. The vehicle does not overheat at least not to my knowledge as I always fill the collant reservior when the light comes on. I want to resolve this problem but,I do noot know where to start. Because I drive many miles per day to my job I have maintained this vehicle having the oil changed every 3,000 miles and major services completed on this vehicle. Any help would be appreciated.

If you have to keep adding coolant you have to find out where it's going. That could be leaks, head gasket or lots of things. Vehicles should not consume coolant so that problem has to be found first,

Thanks for your help. I will have another mechanic check for leaks,etc.
