We've been using Snap-On for 20yrs. Very happy with performance and durability. And, update capabilities. Not to mention, excellent service and tech support. You can purchase them on line for under 1,000$ and they have a lot of capabilities. Updates are around 300$ a year for domestic, another 300$ for Asian or around 500$ for the combo. But it will all depend on how much you are going to do as to what you will want. Loren is right on Snap-On, but the better ones are quite pricey. So again, Loren is right-- You will get a lot of different answers. I have one that is updated to 2006 that I will be willing to sell. Priced at 750$. Looks like new and all the cables with it. Here is one like mine on E-bay. It does not have the color screen though. Look maround on there. You may find something to your liking. Just enyter automotive scan tools. www.AutoEnginuity.com also has some good products.
