i have a 2006 Chrysler pacifica 3.5 liter I recently bought this car with some exhaust problems but car ran great. we fixed the exhaust problems but now if I put in reverse it dies. I can rev it up and put it in reverse and it will go back but as soon as I let off the petal it dies. at that point it will crank over but not start back up. if I put it in neutral and roll it a foot and put it back in park fires right up. any help would be amazing.

Any trouble codes stored in the engine computer? If so, what are the numbers. Did this start after you did the exhaust work? Did you disconnect the battery?
Maybe the engine controller doesn't know the transmission is being put into reverse, so it doesn't adjust the idle for the added load or it lost the learned idle memory if you disconnected power.
