I'd begin with finding out what is missing.......... spark or fuel - both perhaps? Check that and hit back,

Re: chevy malibu 99 Sign In

Hi guys I have one in the shop right now same issue 2.4 good compression no codes crank and cam sensors replaced coil assembly replaced with known good unit checked for fire at coil pack assembly and one is hot I tried both coil pack assemblies manual test laid over on side and put one plug and grounded it no fire at all on either one. my comp is reading on monitor the timing going from 5 degrees at stop and jumping to 15 degrees while cranking . the key switch is a bit rough but if was security system in my experience it always starts and dies . I have a used comp enroute to try that is it possible the timing chain has enough slack to cause no signal and no fire at coils?
