I have owned cars by all manufactures but my chevys all have needed fuel pumps. If you check the posts on this site about fuel pump problems a high % are chevys. The biggest killer to electric fuel pumps is running the tanks low and not replacing fuel filters regularily. The electric pumps depend on the fuel level to keep them cool (supposed to be immersed in fuel) and if they are trying to push fuel thru a plugged filter.... Ever notice how you always get a new one with the pump.
