what is the best way to change my pump 95 chevy 1/2 ton 2wd long bed

You can try to wrestle the tank out or you can take the bed bolts out and slide the bed over just enough to expose the fuel tank. Now you can remove the sending unit and lines with the tank still in the vehicle.
I used to use a floor jack to support the tanks and it is hard work if you are alone. I started taking the beds off and the job is a lot easier. Just make sure you get new bolts, nuts, and washers because you may have to cut them off unless you have oxy/acetylene torches.
