can someone pleae give me advice on chaning a windshild wiper stalk for a 2004 Lincoln Navigator?

Remove the trim around the steering wheel and column. When you get the trim off, you will see t screws that hold the switch in place, Remove these screws, and the wiring connections on the back of the switch. Reverse procedure to install. Now, what is the problem that you need to replace the wiper switch?
