car won't start, no power or electrics

Hi i've got a 2000 model 1.1i Citroen Saxo special edition. It was working fine last night but I tried starting it up and there is no click, all the electrics have stopped working including the lights. All the power is out and the car just won't start. I had a new battery fitted last month. I'm wondering if any one could help me out. What is wrong with my car?

With nothing electrical working right now you need to go right to the battery and test it and charge it with a charger - not just the car's alternator if jumped to run.
It may be a connection right at battery cables and both ends need to be checked if there's voltage at battery itself and nowhere else,
