cant restart my ford streetka

just replaced battery after it went totally flat. when the new one was connected the alarm went off! managed to turn off alarm but when you turn key in ignition it desnt turn over as if it is immobilised! is there a way of re-setting everything or do you have any suggestions? any help would be much appreciated!

Yes, your car has immobilised itself. Try this sequence, see if it works.
unlock your car with the key, not the remote
turn car to the "on" position for about 15secs, then try start it
IF it starts, let it run for about 20 secs, turn car off.
Get out and lock car with key, wait 15 secs, and try open car with remote.
If the car opens, then the computer recognises that you have the key and the immobiliser will react to the computer. PLEASE let me know if this works for you via PM or in here.
