There is a whole hub type and the inner and outer type possible. This is a safety issue and we tend to shy away from this. Be careful with this and don't feel bad if you need some pro help. Feel for freeplay and listen for the noises. Take it down to brakes and anything that might cause this noise. It's more likely to be a brake than a bearing but who knows right now. Either could change sounds with brakes applied. Tough to describe but a bad bearing would usually make a growling sound when you spin the wheel.
