automatic door locks

i have a 2003 saturn ion. all of a sudden the automatic door locks stopped working and the dome lights will not turn off when car is put in gear or when car is turned off?

Guess: A switch at probably the driver's door jam or at it's latch is thinking the door is still open. Perhaps out of adjustment or plain broken??
