altanator problems

i have a 2008 altima.i had to have it jumped this morning and after i got it started the headlights were real dim and going up and down.it sounds like a altanator problem.let me know art

Nobody is going to have a clue until you test the voltage across the battery with the engine idling and no accessories on. You should have between 13.5 and 14.8v if it is working properly.
