couple of odd things going on with the brakes: 1) if you apply the parking brake the abs light comes on 2) have low pedal, but if you pump it up it gets firm. the master cylinder diagnosis was good, so its not that. there are no leaks, system was properly bleed and pads are excellent. please tell me how to fix this stuff before i dump a bunch of money in without it fixing anything. its a infiniti i30 1997 E-Bay link removed

Generally when ABS light is on you would have regular braking action. Not sure how master cylinder was ruled out with a low brake pedal that pumps up or if in fact all air is out of the system. Pads just looking good without taking them off may not be conclusive. IMO you are playing with fire and don't seem to have much confidence in getting help. Think this could be expensive? Try an accident! T

ok..so we have put a new master cylnder in and benched bleed it. result is nothing different. all that is left is the calipers but the car doesn't pull to the side nor is there uneven wear on pads..two mechanics are baffeled by this. there think about dismantle entire system to figure it out

Check for seized slide pins on all your caliper mounts. If you have a seized slide pin(s), it will make you have a mushy pedal until it is pumped more than once. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
