Sorry we are not fast enough for you. However, most of us have jobs, and it takes time to research the problem. Please give us time. It has been just one day since you posted. I went to the shop this morning at 5 am and left tonight at 630 pm because of computer problems. So it might be my fault, but I do not feel like arguing over trivial things. I don't exactly remember an 83, but is there a crank or cam sensor? Maybe go to www.autozone.com and enter your vehicle information and search a little to see if there is anything you can use. I just don't feel like doing all the searching tonight. I might tomorrow, if I have a better day.

From what I remember there is a crank and cam sensor
Also has an engine control module ,I think EECIII

This thing has been going on for a couple years now, I have changed everything you can think of, the fuel pressure regulator-throttle position sensor-throttle body assembly-coil-crankshaft sensor-module on fender-new in tank fuel pump-map sensor-God I can`t remember all the things changed, then someone told me go to a junk yard and find a older ford with a 302 that was not electronic ignition, so I did changed over to old distributor with points,well changed everything over,tryed to start it would not start,put some gas in the throttle body started right up and ran fine passing gear everything,shut it off would not start, I could have bought a new jasper eng buy now but its not the eng,??and yes I did change the module when I changed the dis,so if you read this once again I am sorry, this car has me ready to junk it.
