Hello, I have a 1993 Ford Escort with 19k on it and with 1.9 Engine, maybe about 2 weeks after i bought the thing it has been nothing but trouble. My Waterpump has already went, and i replaced it about 2,3 weeks ago. After since then my check engine has been flashing on and off whenever i go over a hard bump. But it will always follow with a decrees of power in the car. Now after 2 weeks of just driving around with my check engine light flashing my check coolant light also started flashing as well but nothing is leaking from the car and my car isn't overheating. Also my car idles very VERY badly to the point it will just die. Could give me some ideas of what's wrong with my car?

Null2005: Do you really mean 19,000 miles on a 1993? Where and how it was parked/stored over the years is going to matter. If run with some regularity it may have a good chance of not badgering you to bits but remember all rubber parts, oils, fuel, filters and on+on are probably that old. It actually takes extra care for super low miles, T

OK - Recheck your water pump job, get the codes as HT suggested and check the real coolant level at radiator as that is what counts not just a recovery tank. CEL and not running properly is urgent or you may add replacing a converter on top of what could be a simple problem, T
