Have a 92 Ford ranger V-6 3.0 has been acting up, sputtering a little on real hot days. It will not start now. Is getting fuel and has fire. Have replaced coil dist. cap and rotor bug. Turns over and will hit every now and then but will not start.

get a fuel pressure gauge and get a reading of actual fuel pressure. You can get a tester at most autoparts stores on a loan a tool program.
